Art, Recycling, and Social Benefit Come Together: The Art Coin Project Has Launched
Spearheaded by Abdullah Tütüncü, Chairman of the Board at Nadir Metal Rafineri Inc., in collaboration with artist Seçkin Pirim and writer Aylin İşcan Yener, the ART COIN project introduces an innovative collectible that merges art with sustainability and social benefit.
This exclusive project, limited to just 500 pieces, aims to bring together art enthusiasts while channeling all proceeds toward supporting the education of Fine Arts Faculty students, lighting the path for young talents.
An Artistic Innovation: The Beaked Coin
Drawing inspiration from the first coin in history, the ART COIN project highlights a unique artistic approach in its design. Created by artist Seçkin Pirim, this piece, named the “Beaked Coin,” breaks away from the traditional circular form, earning the distinction of being the world’s first art-inspired metal coin.
All materials used in this project are focused on recycling. ART COINs are crafted from 999.9 fine silver, weighing 2 ounces (approximately 62.2 grams). Additionally, the boxes and packaging materials are handmade from the remnants of art pieces. Sustainability and environmental consciousness have been prioritized at every stage of the project.
All proceeds from the sale of ART COINS, priced at $250 each, will be dedicated to supporting the education of Fine Arts Faculty students. Abdullah Tütüncü emphasizes that the project is not just a collectible item but also a meaningful initiative contributing to the education of young artists and societal progress.
All production costs for the project have been fully covered by Nadir Metal Rafineri as a donation, without any financial gain. In this sense, the project stands as a tangible reflection of a vision dedicated to art, sustainability, and education.
Each piece, produced with an edition number, holds unique significance for art enthusiasts while also creating new opportunities for young artists.
